Vendor Spotlight – Saltwater Sandals

Saltwater Sandals are such a summer classic and we are so happy to be a retailer!
Our initial shipment is nearly sold out, but we do have a secondary shipment on the way.
We went with mainly the “Classic” for women & children. For little boys we ordered the tan “Surfer” and that was certainly popular!
We will most definitely be bringing these back for Summer 2016. And we will get braver with the colours. For this round we stuck with red, tan , navy and the patent yellow.

One of the best features of these sandals is that they are truly comfortable. You won’t have to break these in and suffer with blisters. If these do fit too tightly, get them wet and walk around your house. Instantly you will have the perfect fitting shoe. Not to mention the fact that you have most definitely seen these plastered all over Instagram worn by some of your favourite bloggers!

If you are a mom we highly recommend getting a pair for yourself and your Little. Twinning is so much fun!! For the kids we ordered sizes 3T to 8T.

Vendor Spotlight – Quill and Fox

We continue to be dazzled by Yas Imamura’s vintage inspired stationery line.

Her cards have been shop favourites since we opened in 2012. We are delighted that Quill and Fox’s range has expanded to weekly planners and magnetic memo pads.

Her work is feminine and sophisticated – and of course whimsical. She has a lovely hand lettering style and you all know how much we love our lettering!

Definitely worth a visit to the shop to see this gorgeous work in person!

Vendor Spotlight / Mint & Birch

We first met Jessica, of Mint & Birch, during our Handmade for Littles event last November. We fell in love with her ‘Mama’ collection of hand-stamped bars and heart-shaped bunting necklaces. A mother herself, Jessica created this collection as a way of honouring moms and celebrating motherhood.

These sweet and sentimental pieces are handmade here in the lower mainland and would absolutely make the perfect gift for Mother’s Day or as an any day gift for a new mom!

Berkley Illustration Prints

At great long last we have re-stocked our Berkley Illustration prints and there are some awesome new prints to be had!

There is a very dapper looking wolf – and I love that green background.

My favourite is the bunny couple. I adore these two.

Casey loves the robin couple.

The gentleman badger is also a new addition.

We just adore Berkley Illustrations and we LOVE seeing our customers’ reactions to these whimsical prints. If we have you smiling when you enter our quaint little shop then we have done what we set out to do!

Vendor Spotlight / Kinship Goods

Here at Meadow are all huge fans of Kinship Goods – and we can hardly keep their stellar goods in stock. Their tees may make you smile, but are not the least bit cheesy. Dan Davis & Hillary Harrison design and produce Kinship Goods in West Virginia. They are busy opening a storefront in addition to their successful apparel and housewares line – you can follow their journey on Instagram.

We really feel like their work was made for the Meadow customer. Who is the typical “Meadow Customer”? Well, you quite possibly have homebody tendencies, probably own multiple cats and you know certainly appreciate some fine hand lettering. We have a new Kinship order on the way for all of you who missed out on the last order.

These aren’t printed on American Apparel, but the t-shirts do not shrink and they have a soft vintage feel and a nice & flattering fit.

Vendor Spotlight / Birds of North America

Birds of North America is a Canadian clothing line, well described as “vintage-classic” . They are best known for their impeccably fitting dresses, but also offer tops, skirts, pants and coats. The dresses certainly do have a vintage vibe, but they are so easy to wear and comfortable that you will want to wear your BoNA pieces everyday. They somehow hide all of your problem areas with expertly placed darts and pleats which seem to work on just about every body type.

BoNA Founder and Designer Haley Gibson is originally a West Coast gal, now residing in Montreal. She began BoNA in 2007 and her clothing is available in shops throughout Canada and the US. We are very happy to be one of the few Vancouver shops to carry her line.

Here at Meadow we have completely fallen in love with Haley’s designs. You will be floored by the great quality and attention to detail. We encourage you to come by the shop and try on a couple of dresses – and be amazed at the fit!
